Search for recent test results and learners - 5 May 2009

Within both your classes and your groups, you can now search for recently taken test results including test results that have essay questions and are waiting to be graded.
This will save you time sorting though your individual class and group results pages.

You can also search for learners by name as well.

Look for the new Search links under your My classes and External testing left hand navigation.

View which tests contain specific questions - 3 May 2009

In your 'Edit test' and 'Question bank 'pages, you will now see new links with each question called 'Show tests'. This link will instantly list the tests using that specific question.

3 New features! - 25 April 2009

1) New navigation - 25 April 2009

We have added the new left hand navigation in to make ClassMarker faster and easier to move between sections.

We have also simplified some pages to again make the page clearer and easier to use.

All pages are still in the same place, except you will now find most links in the left hand navigation.

The main differences you will notice is:

  • The term we used for our external test, 'Rebranded testing' is now called 'External testing'.
  • Your rebranded/external groups and themes and now in their own section under the External testing Section.
  • The page that was called 'Class home' is still the same, but just has a more appropriate title - 'Tests and results'.
  • 'My tests' now only shows a link to your edit test page, and all options for editing your tests are then under the 'View options' link to keep this page much cleaner.

2) Copy test, Duplicate questions - 25 April 2009

When you copy one of your tests, you now have the option to make the copied test reference the same questions in your question bank, or make new copies of each question in the test.

3) New statistics available - 25 April 2009

You can now get more information from your statistics pages. For example, you can find out exactly who got a particular question right or wrong, and how a particular learner is doing across your categories + more.

Add extra email addresses for external test results - 16 March 2009

If you are performing external testing via Groups, you can now choose to send test results for different groups to different email addresses.

Go to your My groups pages to start verifying new email addresses, then you can select which email address to send your group results to via your Group preference pages.

Search your question bank - 26 February 2009

You can now search for questions in your question bank.

Search for a word or exact phrase that appears in your question text.

Search does not look through text in your answers, only text in your actual 'questions'.

Jump to previous questions during test - 24 February 2009

When taking tests, if you have the test set to allow learners to click back to previous questions during a test, they will now see a new link:
'Show previously viewed questions'.

After selecting this link, learners will see a list of all the questions they have seen in their test so far and can jump directly back and forth between questions.

Print tests and test sorting - 15 February 2009

Two new updates.

You can now print tests to be taken on paper - see 'Print' in your My tests page next to each test.

You can now list your tests by category to make it easier to find your tests. Listing by category if used on your 'My tests' page as well as your 'Assign tests' pages.

Default test settings - 12 February 2009

Two new updates.

First: You can now set default test settings to make assigning your tests to your classes and groups much quicker. The link for default test settings is on your 'My tests' page.

Second: Once you have set these you can take your tests directly from your 'My tests' page (via the 'Do test' link) which will use your default test settings.

Hide tests in classes - 10 February 2009

You can now hide tests in your classes instead of un-assigning them.

This means you can assign a test to a class and keep it hidden until you want your learners to take it.

And after the test is taken, you can set the test to be hidden so your learners can no longer see the test or results.

You can still see the results for tests when they are hidden.

You set the 'Show/Hide' test settings in your 'Class home pages' or in the 'Assign tests' pages.
