Test Settings: Test Taking

Choose options for how users can interact with your Test.

Adding a timer to your Test will display a countdown on the page to show users how much time they have left.

Option:

1. Time Limit:
   • Optional setting
   • Leave blank or enter '0' to not have a time limit
   • If using a timer, enter the time in minutes. (Eg, 120 = 2 hours)
   • When the timer runs out, the Test will be automatically submitted (saving answers on the current page)
   • When using 'Save and Resume', Test time will only be calculated when user is in Test
   • Timer will display in Test

Benefits:

1. Great for testing a user's ability to prioritize time when completing a task, such as a Test
2. Perfect if giving a speed Test
3. Time limit will prevent users from 'searching' when they shouldn't be

Used With: Groups and Links

Save Results for reviewing, or don't save results for free usage.

Option:

1. Save Results:
   • Optional setting
   • Can change this setting at anytime from results being saved to not being saved
   • If results are not saved, credits will not be used

Benefits:

1. Great for free practice quizzes, if you choose to not save results
2. Enables ability to view and analyze statistics upon Test completion
3. Saving results allows for results to be sent via email to Test takers, Administrators and Assistants
4. Track who has taken Tests

Used With: Links (Groups always save results)

Resume Later option is available for Tests that you would like users to be able to save their progress in the Test, to resume at a later time.

Option:

1. Save and Resume Later:
   • If not selected, the user will need to complete Test in one sitting
   • Optional setting that can be turned on/off at anytime
   • If using with Links, users will be required to enter an email address and create a password in order to resume a saved Test
   • The Test Start page will show 'Start' or 'Resume' options. 'Start' is used for a new attempt. 'Resume' is used for going back into an attempt that has not been completed
   • Only available when using the 'Save results' setting

Benefits:

1. Will help those who are in an industry where duty calls and they are not able to complete it, in one sitting
2. Great for lengthy Tests that have a timer where users need to 'pause' for breaks
3. Retrieve password option right on the Test page if users have forgotten their password. No need for someone to get back to them with this, to continue

Used With: Groups and Links

Brand Tests with your own company logos, background images, customize color of links and Test buttons

Option:

1. Select Theme:
   • Can create a different theme for each Link or apply the same theme to multiple Links

Benefits:

1. Brand recognition
2. Can customize to match look and feel of your website, especially beneficial if embedding Tests or Linking directly from your website
