Step 1: Identify survey goals

Step 2: Create your survey and add questions

Create a ClassMarker test as you normally would.

Most surveys utilize multiple-choice questions for simplicity and ease of analysis. However, for more detailed feedback, consider including open-ended questions. ClassMarker supports both types, allowing you to blend multiple-choice and essay questions effectively. Other things to consider:


Step 3: Assign the survey

Since this is a survey, select the option to “Send a Link”. You can share your survey link via email, social media, or on your website.

Because you are using a Test template to give a Survey, we need to hide the grading and results from users, because these are not applicable for Surveys.
  • After you have named your link, go to the Test 'settings' page.
  • On the “Taking the Test” tab, you have a few things to ensure the Quiz will act like a survey
  • Under Answer settings, turn off Instant Review.
  • Under Test Introduction, go to User Info. Here you can uncheck the boxes beside first name, last name, email address, for the information you do not want to record. This ensures that the survey information is annonymous if you require.
  • Extra Information: If needed, you can add additional questions for demographic data or other specifics not included in the main survey. For example, you can also add 'extra information' questions such as "what location did you visit?".
  • On the “Test completion” tab, Under Results page settings, turn Off Score, Questions and categories checkboxes, so these do not display to Users.
  • Save changes at bottom of page

Step 5: Analyzing Responses

Stephania exports survey responses for management review. There are two ways to export your results data to ExcelTM:

  • Via the Links Export page: Select the link to export and the date range for your link.
  • Export via the Results section of your test: Choose the option to “Export Test scores and selected answers” to include all the answers.
