When you embed your tests in your website, results can be displayed instantly at the end of the Test, and/or have Test results sent back to your website to be recorded in real time using our Webhooks and API options.

Important: You can embed as many tests as you like, however you can only embed one test per web page.

How to export test results to a Google Sheet

One of the most common integrations is between ClassMarker and Google Sheets.

In this example Jasmin uses Zapier to push Test Results to a Google Sheet so each time a Test is taken on ClassMarker, Test results will automatically be populated in her Google sheet.

What is Zapier?

Zapier will allow you to connect ClassMarker with over 5,000 apps, easily enabling complicated workflows. Using Zapier will allow you to automate many repetitive tasks, and save time.

To start, set up an API in ClassMarker before using Zapier.

What is an API?

An API will allow your Web developers to have your systems/website securely request & retrieve recent Test results from ClassMarker periodically. You can integrate using one or both options depending on your requirements. Learn more via our: API & Webhooks Documentation


Create an API Key in ClassMarker to enable Zapier integration

  • Log into your ClassMarker account
  • Navigate to the Webhooks/API Keys page, and click on the API Keys tab.
  • Click the New API Key button, and fill in the form.
  • API Key Name : For your own reference only
  • Permissions : For best results, leave this as “Access all Groups & Links”, you can filter results later.
  • Make a note of the created API Key and API Secret for later use

Set up a Google Sheet

To connect Before we start, you will need a Google account, and Access to Google Sheets at: https://sheets.google.com

  • You will first need to create an empty Spreadsheet.
  • Add column names to the top of the sheet to match the test information you want to see. e.g.
    • Score ID
    • Group Name
    • Test Name
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Points Scored
    • Percentage
    • Available Points

Set up a the Zapier Integration

Before we start, you will need a Google account, and Access to Google Sheets at: https:// sheets.google.com

  • Follow the steps in “Set up Recent Results” in this document to set up a Test Results trigger
  • In the Action section, select Google Sheets
  • Choose the Create Spreadsheet Row event
  • Follow the prompts to sign into your Google Sheets Account
  • Select your Spreadsheet and Worksheet.
  • You will now be presented with the column names you entered into your Worksheet. Simply map the sample result data from ClassMarker with the Column
  • Once you have finished mapping the columns, you will prompted to Test that Zap. If this successful, then you will be prompted to Publish the Zap.
